Blogging and finding your voice, a quick and easy tip

I’ve been blogging in some capacity since 2005. But its this blog that has me blogging from a personal perspective. My other blog is music related, based on other people’s careers, so finding something to talk about is literally a search away.

What’s most comfortable for me is talking about what I know. I know and love music and I know and love writing. Blogging allows me to share my experience as a writer and as the owner of a publishing company with you the reader.

In a time where gossip blogs and relationship blogs are the most popular, I appreciate each and everyone of you for reading my musings.

In finding your voice,  here’s the easiest tip for having a successful blog.

Stay as authentic to your personality as possible

In real life, with friends, I’m the listener and the problem solver. But I’m also the person saying check out this book, here’s what I’ve learned, or check out this article I just read.

Through this blog, I essentially have the same personality. I am listening to the concerns of writers and providing value to them. This has helped to establish a fan base because I have been transparent in my writing journey and stayed true to my authentic self.

I know that many of my readers are bloggers as well. So please share how you found your voice as a blogger in the comment section below.
